Un proyecto patrocinado por Robert Rauschenberg, Christy Turlington, Francis Ford Coppola, Quincy Jones, y Tupak Shakur, entre muchos otros. Como directora del centro, supervis\u00f3 y organiz\u00f3 las galer\u00edas de arte, una biblioteca de arte e infantil de m\u00e1s de 5000 vol\u00famenes, un centro de c\u00f3mputo con clases para ex-miembros de los maras, clases de arte para infancias en barrios marginados y proyectos de reforestaci\u00f3n.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En 2002, ya radicada en Oaxaca, produjo la pel\u00edcula Tooba de la artista Shirin Neshat, filmada en Cuilapam de Guerrero, Oaxaca. Christov started the Odisea project in 2006 while mourning her mother\u00b4s death, with her first photo series, featuring her daughter Indiana. Bio: Alicia Christov, born in Genova, Italy and a naturalized Mexican, has lived in Oaxaca with her family since 1997. In addition to her other jobs including economist at the World Bank, bartender, waitress, chef, house cleaner, and agricultural worker, she worked as a journalist in Paris and Rome for Agence France Presse and ABC News, and later as a radio war correspondent in Central America during the Sandinista Revolution, where she created her award-winning documentary film \u00a0later presented in Oaxaca in 2017. When the war ended in El Salvador in 1992, she designed and founded, together with her husband George Mead Moore and Salvadoran poet and artist friends, the center, located in San Salvador, having raised funds to establish an extensive library of donated art and children&#8217;s books, an eclectic gallery, art programs for low-income children, and a public computer center, with graphic design courses for, among others, former gang members of the \u00abmaras\u00bb, to enable them to start their own digital design businesses. Prior to the Odisea project, she produced the film Tooba by artist Shirin Neshat, in Oaxaca. Through the Henestrosa Library and samizdat, she distributed her two collections of poems, Field Hospital for the Disenchanted and Perros de Ambulancia. She continues to work on various productions of the Odisea, including upcoming presentations and exhibitions, the Museo Virtual de la Odisea de Juana, and the new short films M\u00e1talas, Juana Habla II and Backstage. On November 24, 2023, for its 35th anniversary, the Instituto de Artes Gr\u00e1ficas de Oaxaca, IAGO, founded by Francisco Toledo, presents the first ever public viewing of Odisea de Juana films and fotopinturas. BIO: Alicia Christov, nacida en Genova, Italia y naturalizada como Mexicana, vive en Oaxaca con su familia desde 1997.
